100,000 Trailers Strong: An American-Made Milestone

We just built our 100,000th trailer—and donated it to Texas Outdoor Heroes. It’s a milestone that honors our past, celebrates our customers, and supports those who serve our country.

Just off I-45 in Madisonville, Texas, something remarkable just rolled off the line: the 100,000th Texas Pride trailer. To us, that number means more than you might think. It’s not just a milestone. It’s proof of what happens when you build things the right way, listen to your customers, and stay rooted in what got you here.

We started small. Real small. Back in 1998, our founder Jim Bray was a full-time pizza delivery driver with big ambitions. He picked up a buzz box welder from Home Depot, bought a book on welding, and built his first trailer in the driveway. Once that first one sold, the phones didn’t stop ringing. Demand was strong, and Jim made a call that would define who we are to this day—he went all in. And Texas Pride Trailers was born.

From that one-man operation, we’ve grown into a full-scale manufacturing outfit. Today, we operate on 50+ acres with 150,000 to 200,000 square feet of production space and over 400 employees. Every trailer we build is handcrafted—start to finish—right here in Texas.

Dump trailers, roll-offs, lowboys, tilts, car haulers, flatbeds—we build them all. But more than that, we build them to order. That means every customer gets exactly what they need, no compromises. And because we sell factory-direct, there are no dealers, no middlemen, and no wasted time or money. Just a straight shot from our hands to yours.

While other companies quote 8 to 12 weeks for a custom build, we turn around many trailers in just two. That’s because we control the process—from raw steel to final weld to paint and inspection. When Dale Bowman came to us needing a specific spec, we made it happen. Two weeks later, he was hauling. “Texas Pride was the only manufacturer who could match our exact specs and deliver in just two weeks,” he told us. That’s exactly the kind of experience we work to deliver—every single time.

What truly sets us apart isn’t just how we build—it’s how we back it up. From day one, we’ve believed that service after the sale matters more than the sale itself. Our service and warranty team is fully staffed, responsive, and built around one thing: keeping you rolling. Whether it’s product guides, technical help, or just a quick answer from someone who knows trailers, we’ve got your back.

“To me, there’s no other trailer that compares to a Texas Pride Trailer,” says the team at Front Ridge Demo. “I would drive anywhere, wherever they would put their plant, I’d go pick it up.”

We’re also not standing still. Today we operate out of nine locations, but we’re growing fast—with plans to reach 20 across the country. Our goal is to be within about four hours of any customer in the U.S. Whether you need parts, service, or a new trailer—we want to be close enough to deliver quickly and support you better than anyone else.

Reaching 100,000 trailers means a lot to us. But we wanted it to mean even more. That’s why we donated our 100,000th trailer to Texas Outdoor Heroes, a nonprofit that serves veterans and first responders across the state. That trailer will go to work hauling gear, equipment, and supplies for the folks who’ve given so much—and it couldn’t be going to a better cause. It’s our way of saying thank you and staying true to what this company has always been about: building for people who get the job done.

We’re proud of every trailer we’ve built. Proud of every customer who’s trusted us. And proud of the road ahead.

That trust comes through loud and clear in what our customers have to say. Folks like Bill Dudley, who’s bought 13 trailers from us over the years. “When I come to Texas Pride, it’s different than buying at most trailer dealerships,” he told us. “You don’t just grab a trailer and go. A sales rep comes out, learns what you need, and designs the right trailer for your job. When you pick it up, they walk you through everything—how to use it, how to get more out of it. That’s why I keep coming back.”

Jim Woodruff bought Texas Pride’s very first dump trailer—stock number 000,001!—15 years ago, and it’s still running strong. “It’s good quality, lasted a long time, and has served me very well,” he says.

Loren Wilcox summed it up best: “I come back to Texas Pride because of the quality of the product and the quality of service. When you need help, they’re there. The customer service cannot be beaten.”

That’s what 100,000 trailers means to us. It’s not just about how many we’ve built—it’s about how many people we’ve helped along the way. With big plans ahead, new locations on the horizon, and the same hard-working crew behind every build, we’re just getting started.

Let’s roll.
